Increase
Student Time-on-Task
NetOp School enables teachers to monitor and control every student’s
computer activity from the convenience of their own PC. With NetOp,
teachers know exactly what every student is working on. Using NetOp’s
Thumbnail View a teacher can monitor the desktop of every student’s
computer, all on one screen. To focus student attention, you can lock
their keyboard and mouse during lectures or screen demonstrations; if a
student needs assistance, simply take control of their computer with your
own keyboard and mouse, just as if you were seated next to them, for
one-on-one instruction or send them a private instant message.
Policy
Control
NetOp enables teachers to allow or deny the use of selected applications
and websites on student computers by creating administrative policies
unique to their educational curriculum. This way, you can rest assured
that your students aren’t wasting class time on games or the Internet.
Enhance
Classroom Interaction
NetOp’s Broadcast feature enables a teacher to broadcast their screen or
a student’s screen to one student or the entire classroom for detailed
instruction and example. You can even record demonstrations for later
playback, broadcast and control videos, project web cam images, create
workgroups and monitored chat rooms for discussion, as well as two-way
16-bit audio chat for verbal assistance.
Construct a
Variety of Tests and Surveys
NetOp’s new Test Center utility offers a very powerful tool for creating
a multitude of IMS compliant tests from 10 different question types,
including:
• Multiple
Choice – one answer (Random or Static answering order)
• Multiple Choice – multiple answers (Random or Static answering

Simplify
Test Administration and Grading
NetOp’s new Test Center utility has a built in student response system
that provides teachers & instructors with a powerful tool for
producing, administering, and grading tests and surveys over a network
connection. Now teachers can generate tests from a variety of IMS
compliant question types, which puts the questions in an exportable XML
format. Additional configurations enable teachers to set time limits on
questions, get real-time reporting, administer auto-scoring for immediate
test results, and even provide question resources, such as external web
links and files.
Webcam
Streaming
NetOp School offers web cam streaming capabilities to enable teachers and
students to see one another in a distance learning scenario, or view
physical examples and detailed illustrations for hands-on demonstrations.
Now, with the use of a webcam, networked classroom attendees can see a
real-time image of an object, demonstration or example right on their PC
Screen – providing everyone with a front row seat.
Engage Your
Students
With NetOp’s ‘Pass the Chalk’ feature, a teacher can pass off
control of the broadcasted demonstration screen to students to enable them
to collaborate on a demo session. This not only keeps their attention
during discussions, but also provides an interactive learning environment
where students are always engaged in the lesson at hand.
Easily
Multi-Task Your Efforts
NetOp School enables teachers to take complete control of every computer
in their networked classroom - load applications, reboot, log-out or turn
off one or several student PCs simultaneously or distribute, launch, and
control multi-media files - all from the comfort of your PC. Plus, NetOp
enables you to create interactive lesson plans with links to multi-media
files, URLs and demonstrations.
Easy to
Install, Learn and Use
To provide easier navigation and usability, NetOp School now offers 1-2-3
Set-up Wizards that simplify some of the application’s more advanced
features. Each wizard provides simple instructions for walking users
through the necessary steps for configuring Teacher and Student modules,
File Distribution and Collection, and the creation of tests.
