Netop Remote Control 9.2
takes remote control to the next level with support of Intel vPro
Expanded remote
control of bare metal computers through Intel vPro (iAMT) support /
64-bit support / Optional web-based connections with no need for
configuring firewall, routers or proxies.
Kfar Saba - October 15, 2008 - Now
IT administrators can operate and service their company's PCs by remote
control easier, safer and faster. Netop Remote Control 9.2 supports
Intel's vPro and Active Management Technology (iAMT), offers up to ten
times higher speed for remote maintenance over the Internet as well as
full support for all 64-bit Windows versions. What's more, Netop Remote
Control 9.2 can be supplemented with an additional module that
establishes web-based connections beyond network and firewall borders.
With the new Netop WebConnect, Guests and Hosts can easily and safely
connect from anywhere to anyone, without the company having to configure
security-critical firewalls, routers or proxies.
As one of the first solutions on the
market, Netop Remote Control 9.2. makes it possible for companies to
take full advantage of Intel vPro-Technology (iAMT) range of functions.
As long as it's connected to a power line and a network, IT
administrators can access a vPro computer even when it's switched off.
Thus, PCs can be switched on and off by remote control and an unbooted
operating system can be serviced by remote control in order to, for
example, change the BIOS, install a new operating system, remove malware,
or monitor a number of events at hardware level.
"Many companies already have
computers equipped with Intel vPro and Active Management Technology at
their disposal, but are not yet able to use them", said Dave Bloom,
Exsys CEO. "With Netop Remote Control 9.2, these companies can use
their investments more effectively and expand their remote maintenance
possibilities."
Improved HTTP communication makes high
speed connections possible
Thanks to a newly-designed Netop Remote
Control 9.2 HTTP protocol implementation, companies can increase data
transfer speed by 2 to 10 times, depending on the situation. At the same
time, this implementation is completely compatible with older Netop
versions. However, the maximum gain in speed is only attainable when all
modules involved in the communication have been updated to the 9.2
version.
Expanded Windows 64 bit platform
support
With immediate effect, Netop Remote
Control 9.2 supports Windows 64 bit versions with all modules: In
addition to the Guest and Host modules, this also includes the security
server, the name server and the gateway. Based on just one application
Netop provides access to all the prevalent platforms - whether it be
Windows, Windows CE, Linux, Mac, Solaris or OS/2.
Connect faster and easier through
Netop WebConnect
With Netop Web Connect, IT administrators
can establish connections through the Internet and beyond network
borders, without having to make security-critical changes to firewalls,
routers or proxies. During the connection process, WebConnect accesses
the HTTP over Port 80.
Web-based remote control access offers
easy to setup connections and it has increasingly become popular and
have been used by many IT professionals to help friends and family.
However, at work they have been hesistant to trust a 3rd
party provider with storing login credentials and logging of remote
session traffic. Now with the optional module WebConnect companies can
have the firewall friendly connectivity known from web-based remote
control access but at the security of their own network. Because
companies buy Netop WebConnect and put it on their network, they have
100% control of their own data.
Netop Remote Control is available from
Exsys on 15th October 2008.
